Being somewhat of a geek and music nerd since childhood, when I was just 14 the owners of Skate land in Waukesha, Wisconsin allowed me to spin records and orchestrate a light show for their customers. In exchange I was allowed to skate for free, which in my mind was the better end of the deal because I loved the idea of being a disc jockey and tinkering with various lighting effects to complement music. This established a great relationship between us and over the next few years I was put on the payroll and helped Skate land develop their audio and lighting systems. Eventually I was asked to DJ at both their Waukesha and Butler, Wisconsin locations, which I loved and always looked forward to going to work..!!
