WHEDA is seeking a dynamic and collaborative project leader to join our Project Management Office team as a Project Manager in our Madison office. This is a senior professional class responsible for performing professional level work in managing cross-functional project teams through planning and coordinating activities and resources.
Position Summary
Serves as a project manager to successfully execute (on time/on budget/with required functionality) the implementation of technology solutions or other complex initiatives. This includes: developing and executing project plans, preparing documentation, managing project scope, managing project risks, validating requirements, ensuring adherence to project management standards, creating and executing test plans, assisting in resolution of identified issues, communicating project status to appropriate sponsors and stakeholders, creation of appropriate change management plans, and/or performing other related activities.
Define and coordinate development of new technology solutions or modification of existing systems to meet business requirements. Engages with business unit subject matter experts, process owners, and information technology staff to assess, define, and validate solution needs. This includes: defining, improving, and documenting business unit processes and workflows to assist in delivery of new technology solutions, development of requirements for solution and component design, identifying critical requirements and activities to be included in delivery of solution, and providing analysis of costs and benefits of proposed solutions to management.
Act as a liaison between business units, information technology staff, and technology solution vendor(s) to support the delivery of technology solutions that support successful execution of organizational goals and priorities.
Maintain project management methodologies. Identify, research, and recommend implementation of new and/or modifications to existing project management and business analysis techniques, policies, procedures, and standards that result in improved performance of project teams. Provide training and mentorship to other employees charged with project management.
Identify, research, and recommend implementation of new and/or modifications to existing technology that result in improved performance of existing technology systems, enhance organizational capabilities, or deliver increased value to customers.
Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to customer information, employee information, or any other information obtained that has been labeled as confidential in nature.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Salary Information
Hiring Range for this position is from $76,543 to $95,509 Annually. Offered Salary will be based on qualifications. WHEDA provides a competitive salary and WHEDA employees participate in the State of Wisconsin benefit package which includes retirement, health insurance and deferred compensation programs.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field and three years of experience in systems development, integration, and project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Certification in Project Management is not required but considered a plus.
