Green Bay Correctional Institution is seeking a qualified individual to fill an Offender Records Supervisor position, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the overall operations of Records Office including the processing of legal actions and providing information to criminal justice agencies and the public as required and/or requested, provision of technical services to inmates, DOC staff and the public. This position manages the Records Office; supervises subordinate staff; and implements Affirmative Action/Civil Rights Compliance Plans within areas of responsibility and in compliance with federal and state laws. Considerable independent judgment and responsibility is required to assure that the release of offenders is consistent with court-established sentences and current law.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule/range 81-04 with an annual salary of $39,665 - $73,132 plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Job Details

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Qualifications
A minimally qualified applicant will have training and or experience in the following:
Experience performing complex mathematical calculations/computations, (e.g. performing sentencing calculations, establishing release dates, parole eligibility, mandatory release dates etc.)
Analyzing, interpreting and applying state and federal laws, administrative rules and regulations
Monitoring regulatory activity to maintain compliance with records and documents and document management laws.
Performing supervisory or leadership role duties (e.g. training, assigning, reviewing, evaluating the work of others etc.)
In addition to the above, a well-qualified applicant will have experience with the following:
Communicating with people outside the organization representing the organization to customers, the public, government and other external sources (i.e. by letter, phone, in person, virtually etc.)
Experience researching of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations executive orders, agency rules etc.)
