Our founder, the late Chester Ziemienski, was passionate about quality tree care and preserving our urban forests.
After earning a degree in forestry from the University of Michigan, Chester recognized a need to bring professional tree care services to homeowners and businesses in his native Milwaukee; and so in 1950, he launched City Tree Service.
Now known as American Tree Experts, the family-owned and operated business is nestled in wonderful New Berlin. Chester’s oldest son, Jesse, now presides as company president, a role he’s held since 1989. And Jesse’s son, Dean, serves as vice-president and has been with the company since 2007.
