Our Story: Seider’s Time-Tested Tradition of Comfort Since 1912
The story of Seider Heating, Plumbing & Electrical begins in 1912 with Arthur Seider and William Pergande and the grand opening of their hardware store on Hopkins Street in Milwaukee. Arthur later purchased Pergande’s share of the business and changed its name to Seider Hardware. During the Depression, two of Arthur’s children, Hilbert and Harold, were recruited as employees. Today, Bryan Seider (son of the late Harold Seider) and his son Blake operate the four-generation, family owned and operated business, with Todd Seider (Bryan’s brother) leading the installation team.
New Locations, New Ventures – Heating and Cooling in Waukesha, WI
In 1965, Seider Heating & Air Conditioning was incorporated. In 1975, the business built a location at 8232 North Teutonia Avenue. In 1988, Seider purchased F.X. Jacoby in Waukesha, changing its name later to Envira-Tech, Inc. In 2013, the company expanded its service coverage area and customer base by purchasing a new location, formerly Mohrhusen & Associates on Main Street in Menomonee Falls. Seider Heating & Air Conditioning once again changed its name to Seider Heating, Plumbing & Electrical to better convey the breadth and depth of its master plumbing services in addition to its heating and cooling operation.
Today—under the umbrella brand Seider Heating, Plumbing & Electrical, Inc.—the residential business continues to thrive under the Seider branded namesake, and commercial installation is distinctly branded as Envira-Tech. Seider currently employs about 50 techs, installers, customer service personnel, and sales staff and its corporate office is in Waukesha. Seider Heating, Plumbing & Electrical, Inc. is in the home comfort business—providing preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and service for residential and some light commercial systems.
